![]() I started skating when I was six years old after a trip to Colorado convinced my parents that I loved winter sports. My dad always wanted me to play competitive golf and my mom wanted me to be a swimmer. Figure skating is my passion, however, and my parents are letting me pursue MY dream of competitive ice dance. When I started figure skating, I competed freestyle events in ISI and USFS competitions. I have tested up to FS7 in ISI and I placed 4th in the qualifying round of Pre-Juvenile at the 2003 Southwestern Regional Championships. I started ice dancing to “enhance my freestyle” and to my surprise I liked ice dancing very much. The artistic expression in ice dance is fun and the costumes are amazing. It wasn’t long after I began ice dancing that I heard about a guy in Texas who was looking for a Juvenile partner. After an arranged tryout in Texas, I relocated from Kansas City, Missouri to partner with Cooper Johnston. Cooper is my first and hopefully will be my only dance partner! I love ice dancing with him. We represent the Stars Figure Skating Club of Texas (http://www.lsfsc.org) and we always have fun while working very hard. I am now a 7th grader at Prince of Peace Catholic Elementary School (http://www.popschool.net) in Plano, Texas. When I’m not skating, studying, or playing chess, I like to listen to music and play computer games. My favorite computer game is Insane Aquarium. I love hip hop dance and hanging out with friends. I really love shopping in Dallas! My ice skating goals are to pass my gold dance tests and senior field moves. My ice skating dream is to compete at a higher level… such as Grand Prix skating events and maybe even the Olympics! Right now, though, I just want to work hard and enjoy my partnership with Cooper. I can’t think of anything I want to do more. Website created and maintained by 8/28 Productions | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
